A new PlayStation Network deal looks set to put an end to unaffordable full game downloads on PS3.
The promotion, 'PS3 Ultimate Deals', is currently only available in the US and sees full game downloads slashed by 30 percent as standard, stretching to a 50 percent discount if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
For example, Red Dead Redemption is available with all of its DLC and the Undead Nightmare expansion for just $19.59 for PS Plus subscribers, reports MCV.
Meanwhile InFamous 2 has been cut to $23.79 and Just Cause Ultimate Edition can be purchased for $14.69. Call of Duty: Black Ops and all of its DLC still costs $46.54.
It's the first time Sony's positioned its digital game pricing to be competitive with brick and mortar retail.
The first batch of Ultimate Editions go live on the US PS Store today, and they are:
- Red Dead Redemption
- BioShock 2
- inFamous 2
- Motorstorm Apocalypse
- LA Noire
- Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Mafia 2
- Just Cause 2
- Mortal Combat
UPDATE: SCE UK has told CVG that similar deals are available on PSN for customers across Europe.
