F1 2012: First screenshots show new Circuit of the Americas

Track to be playable at E3 next week

Codemasters has sent over the first F1 2012 screens.

The work in progress shots showcase 2012 specification F1 cars on the new Circuit of the Americas, which is currently under construction in Austin, Texas and is due to hold the United States Grand Prix on November 18.

Codies plans to show off F1 2012 for the first time at E3 next week, where attendees will be able to lap the new circuit.

In development at Codemasters Birmingham and set for release this September on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, F1 2012 promises to deliver "the most accessible and immersive Formula One game for fans of all abilities".

It will also offer "new features, wide-ranging advancements and extensive multiplayer components", with a Young Driver Test mode cited as one of its headline additions.
