Square Enix has stuck an official March 5, 2013 release date on the Tomb Raider reboot.
The game was originally scheduled for a 2012 launch but in a message posted on the official Eidos message board back in May Crystal Dynamics' head of studio Darrell Gallagher confirmed the studio's Tomb Raider wouldn't see a release in 2012.
"Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game. In order to do this, we have decided to move the game's release date by a few months, from Fall 2012 to the first quarter of 2013," he said.
Earlier this year God of War 2 director Cory Barlog left Just Cause developer Avalanche Studio to join Crystal Dynamics, he is believed to be heavily involved with Tomb Raider and also working on another "yet to be announced new title".
