Nintendo has unveiled its Wii U Pro Controller, a standalone classic pad that closely resembles the existing Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers.
The Pro pads feature a familiar diamond-arrangement of face buttons, two clickable analogue sticks, a pair of dual shoulder buttons, and the sundry additions such as homepage access buttons.
It is believed that the Pro controller is Nintendo's new attempt to crack the conundrum of allowing simultaneous two-to-four-player gaming which many third-party publishers and developers consider essential for their blockbuster titles.
Only one Wii U tablet controller can connect with the console.
