Three new 'screenshots' of the Halo 4 project have appeared on The Guardian website hours ahead of the game's showcase at E3.
The selected images come as art of the paper's interview with Halo 4 franchise development director Frank O'Connor.
Amid a detailed discussion about Halo 4's Spartan Ops mode, O'Connor laments how working on the inside means he never is given that full E3 experience.
"I have been to very single E3 and I've always been working," he said.
"I can honestly tell you I've never seen the whole thing! I'll probably check most of it out on the internet when I get back to my hotel. It's like being in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, except we're the Oompa Loompas rather than Violet Beauregarde."
