Nintendo has bolstered its Wii U hardware to support two tablet Game Pads simultaneously, Nintendo has confirmed.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed the new capability on stage at the Kodak theatre during the company's E3 press conference.
Last year at E3, when the company unveiled the new system, Nintendo claimed that just one controller tablet would be supported with each hardware unit.
The reasons why were unclear, though it was suspected that communication issues would prevent two pads connecting with each system simultaneously.
However, trade site Develop last year revealed that Nintendo was working to fix the issue.
