A fresh trailer offers new insight into Traveller's Tales most ambitious Lego game to date - an open-world sandbox game in which you, as legendary Lego-cop Chase McCain, don disguises and go undercover to fight crime.
You may remember Lego City: Undercover from last year's E3 presentation, when it was then going by the name of Lego City Stories. Presumably it was using a fake ID.
The trailer shows the Wii U GamePad being used in numerous inventive ways, including as an x-ray device which allows you to scan your surroundings for cowering criminals. It can also be used to get in touch with your dispatch unit for mission intel.
In addition to the usual open-world driving and flying and running and that, Lego City Undercover also seems to have its fair share of hot parkour action, which come into play during sections in which you have to apprehend a fleeing criminal. Land on them and they literally fall to pieces. Well, you would too if you were made of dismantlable building blocks.
There is also a companion 3DS game in development, but neither game has a release date at the time of writing.
