Forget Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo - Ubisoft dominated this year's E3. As well as stunning new IP's (Watch Dogs) and solid instalments of existing ones (Splinter Cell: Blacklist), they had the best shooter of the show in Far Cry 3. For our hands-on we were given a scoped bow and plonked on a beautifully sunny island. You can watch the results for yourself.
Stalking through miles of rich undergrowth and through crystal clear waters was a liberating, even relaxing delight, but things hotted up once we passed through a hut. The doors slammed shut and the whole thing went up in flames - very, very pretty flames (though, in this instance the effect seemed canned). Upon escape we did, of course, shoot men using assault rifles and pistols, and triggered contextual kills like a water take-down or, after shooting the lock of its cage, a tiger kill.
