Molyneux: Monitoring two Wii U screens can be 'demanding and confusing'

A Microsoft exec also thinks the GamePad could be a problem for twitch-based games

Lionhead founder Peter Molyneux believes the need to juggle two screens when playing Wii U games might prove too demanding for some players.

The former creative director of Microsoft Game Studios told Eurogamer he still isn't sold on Nintendo's next console.

"I am not really decided about Wii U," he said. "I watch people playing and they sometimes seem to be confused about which screen they should look at when they play with the tablet.

"I also feel that monitoring both screens turns out to be a bit demanding, as some games make it necessary to change your view from time to time between both screens."

Microsoft marketing executive Yusuf Mehdi echoed Molyneux's sentiments in an interview with VentureBeat.

"One of the things that's interesting is, when you're playing a quick, realtime, twitch game, how much can you look up and down between the screens?" he said. "That's an interesting question."

Analysts have suggested that Wii U is 'missing a killer app'.

Molyneux revealed earlier this week that his first post-Microsoft game will feature a piece of DLC priced at £50,000.
