Sony has released a new PS Vita firmware update today, which takes the system up to version 1.69.
According to Sony Network Entertainment VP Eric Lempel, it's a "minor system software update" that "improves software stability".
The update is also optional, so you won't get a prompt. If you want it you'll have to dive into the Settings app and manually update from there. Alternatively, if you can't be arsed with vague "stability" updates you can just skip it.
"In the coming months, you can look forward to new game reveals and other news for Vita," adds Lempel.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe CEO Jim Ryan told CVG at E3 last week that the company is "very relaxed and confident about the prospects for Vita this year and beyond".
