Peter Serafinowicz, the British comedian who provided the voice of Darth Maul and starred as Pete in Shaun of the Dead, has revealed he has a role in Ubisoft's next Assassin's Creed game.
UPDATE: Ubisoft has clarified that Serafinowicz will not be appearing in the game and is only working on advertising.
"We worked with Peter Serafinowicz to give voice to our UK advertising for Assassin's Creed 3, as his tone and gravitas were a perfect fit for the brand," reads Ubi's official statement.
"Did a voiceover for the new Assassin's Creed," he posted on Twitter
He didn't specify whether he was talking about Assassin's Creed 3 or PS Vita spin-off Assassin's Creed Liberation. We're guessing it's AC3.
"Looks great btw", he added.
This isn't the first time Ubisoft has included a British comedian in the Assassin's Creed games - the past few entries in the series have all included Danny Wallace, who played the role of an insufferable asshat.
Serafinowicz is also notable for voicing Battle Droid Commander and Gungan Scout, and appearing in all seven episodes of The Peter Serafinowicz Show.
Ubisoft's North American boss has suggested there's no such thing as too many sequels, saying he 'hopes to reach Assassin's Creed 10'.
