Online retail giant Amazon has deleted its pre-order listing for Wii U in which it priced the console at £199.
Thousands of customers flooded to the website due to the low price for the console, despite that Nintendo has not yet announced the RRP for the system.
Amazon has apologised for the "error" in a mass-email sent to those who pre-ordered the new console. The letter, which was republished in full on the NeoGAF forum, reminded customers to sign up to email alerts for when the console is available.
All pre-orders have been cancelled.
