Resident Evil 6 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi has said each of the game's three storylines equate to "probably around 70% to 80% of the volume of the whole game in Resident Evil 5".
Speaking to the PlayStation Blog Hirabayashi said the sequel offers players lots of content. "So with three separate storylines, there's plenty to play here," he said.
One of Resident Evil 5's biggest criticisms was that it was much longer than it needed to be. Although Capcom looks like it's possibly setting itself up to make the same mistake, the sequel's variety might justify the added length.
Resident Evil 6 contains three distinct campains with different gameplay styles for Leon Kennedy, Jake Muller and Chris Redfield.
At E3 Microsoft announced Resident Evil 6 DLC that will be available first only on Xbox 360.
