The key executive heading up Nintendo's UK operation has decided to resign after 20 years at the company.
David Yarnton was appointed general manager at Nintendo UK in 2003. The reasons for his departure are unclear.
Nintendo of Europe told industry publication MCV that Yarnton has been looking for "a change of career outside Nintendo".
"Nintendo wishes him every success in his choice of new career," the company added.
Satoru Shibata, the European president of Nintendo, will step in to manage Nintendo UK until a full-time replacement is sought.
