Sony flaunts PS Vita augmented reality with free games trio

Wave of new AR titles to enter Japan's PSN Store

Sony Japan is offering three free PS Vita games as part of a new promotion to publicise the handheld's augmented reality tech.

The new initiative, called AR Play, will have Sony publish a number of augmented realty games on the PlayStation Store from June 28th. The first three new games - 'Cliff Diving', 'Fireworks' and 'Triple Play Soccer' - can be downloaded to the PS Vita at no charge.

Sony Europe has confirmed to CVG that this trio of titles is already available on the UK's PSN Store. Two other Augmented Reality games have recently released on the platform; Table Top Tanks and Pulzar.
