Dan Greenawalt
Studio: Turn 10
Twitter: None
Current Project: Forza 5
Career Highlight: Forza Motorsport 4
Shaping the future by: Insisting on cutting-edge everything
Forza's physics are state-of-the-art, its user interface is perfectly intuitive, and Autovista mode has the most detailed cars in games. As creative director, Greenawalt helps to transform Turn 10's tech perfectionism into a game.

Todd Howard
Studio: Bethesda
Twitter: None
Current Project: Dawnguard
Career Highlight: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Shaping the future by: Making the hardcore RPG mainstream
Creative lead Howard was responsible for both runaway smash The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and the post-apocalyptic Fallout 3 - two very different role-playing games that share similar themes of vast player freedom and scope. Not bad for a man whose applications to work at Bethesda were routinely rejected in the early '90s... Skyrim was 2011's game of the year, and it keeps getting better with Kinect support, mounted combat, and the forthcoming Dawnguard DLC.
