Resident Evil 6 has been granted an 18 certificate by the British Board of Film Classification.
Earlier today the BBFC classified the game's "supplementary material - cutscenes", noting that they contained strong violence and gore, but were passed without cuts.
The ratings body also said the title features 4 hours and 15 minutes of cutscenes.
Resident Evil 6 is due for release on October 2.
Capcom has launched a new 15-second Resident Evil 6 TV spot which aims to portray the feeling of "fear" the game has been designed to evoke.
