EA would be happy to publish Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning 2

Despite 38 Studios' closure, a sequel could still be possible

EA's Labels president Frank Gibeau has said that EA would love to be a partner for a Kingdoms of Amalur sequel.

Despite the bankruptcy of Kingdoms of Amalur devs 38 Studios, EA wants to see Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning 2 made.

Frank Gibeau has told GameInformer "it's unfortunate how everything worked out [for 38 Studios]...At the end of the day we saw a lot of creativity and vision in the team that Curt [Schilling] put together. We thought the game was terrific. It reviewed well."

Gibeau goes on to say, "we built a good business there, and "we'd love to see a sequel to that."

With pre-production already started for a sequel before tragedy fell upon 38 Studios, EA could pick up where it was left off.

The IP still remains in 38 Studios' possession and it has been rumoured that Big Huge Games may start again and create the sequel.
