Apple will announce the iPhone 5 on August 7, according to a new report.
Know Your Mobile says "a reliable industry source" tipped the site off about the platform holder's plans to unveil the new smartphone early next month.
The date would appear to back up previous reports suggesting Apple has brought the iPhone 5's release date forward from October to combat the sales success of Samsung's recently released Galaxy S3. iPhone 4S launched last October.
Supposed iPhone 5 images emerged online in late May, suggesting the device will feature a metal unibody design similar to Apple's notebooks.
