Mass Effect 3 Wii U will feature Extended Cut DLC

Will be part of the game "instead" of the original ending

The Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 will ship with the recently released Extended Cut DLC on disc, BioWare has confirmed.

"The extended ending is basically going to be part of the game instead," Michael Gamble, producer of the Mass Effect series, told Siliconera. "You won't have to download it."

Presumably it'll also arrive with some of the multiplayer DLC released to date, although Gamble didn't confirm this.

At E3 last month, EA chief executive John Riccitiello said he thinks consumers view Mass Effect 3 on Wii U "as the single best piece of software that's been announced for the platform".

And EA Labels boss Frank Gibeau told CVG that the project would not be a basic port. "We'll do some new, unique things with it on the Wii U controller and the second screen that we're innovating on," he said. "You'll hear more later this summer."
