Final Fantasy Versus XIII not abandoned

Square Enix boss dispels cancellation rumours

Following last week's rumours that Square Enix had abandoned all plans to make Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the company's president Yoichi Wada has announced that the rumours are false.

Yoichi Wada used Twitter to announce to fans that Final Fantasy Versus XIII has not been abandoned by Square Enix.

Wada has said he attended a regular meeting about the game today, and confirmed fans will be surprised with how it is shaping up.

Final Fantasy XIII was first announced six years ago, and although details of release are still unknown, fans can still expect to see this game brought to life at some point.
