Japan: Kirby Anniversary Collection, 3DS top charts

Wii title debuts at No.1 in a busy week for new releases

Kirby 20th Anniversary Special Collection for Wii sold 100,000 copies in its debut week to take the No.1 spot on the Japanese software chart.

Fellow newcomers during the week ended July 22 included Rune Factory 4 for 3DS at No.2, Digimon World Redigitize for PSP at No.4, and Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball 2012 for PS3 at No.5.

On the hardware front, 3DS sold almost three times as many units as its closest rival, PS3, while PSP narrowly jumped ahead of its successor, Vita, Andriasang reports.
