Minecraft creator cancelled first-person shooter project

Mojang still keen on future collaborations

The indie studio responsible for Minecraft was collaborating with another company on a now canceled first-person shooter.

According to Joystiq, Mojang lead man Markus "Notch" Persson said the shooter was ditched in its prototype stage because Mojang decided it didn't want "external dependencies".

Persson also said that collaborations with other companies may happen in the future, so long as they're not driven by profit.
