One scene shows off dynamic weather conditions, with Connor traversing a tree in rain, snow and sunshine.

Frontier, Homestead, Boston and New York areas are shown off in the trailer, and if you hold on until the end you'll also capture a glimpse of some impressive glaciers and moody sunsets.

Anvil Next is said to feature advancements that allow players to encounter up to 2,000 characters in a single sequence and "epic" sea battles with water simulation.

Then there's Connor, the "conflicted" hero of Assassin's Creed 3 who boasts more than 1,000 new animations resulting in "the most detailed third-person action character ever created," according to Ubisoft.

He's also not a British-hater, as one scene shows the AC 3 protagonist killing 'American' Patriots too.
