Microsoft has announced an official Kinect price cut.
Kinect's North American price has today been reduced from $149.99 to $109.99. "A permanently reduced price" will also be offered in Latin America, Asia Pacific regions and, from October 4, Australia and New Zealand.
The final retail price will vary in each region "based on the currency and other variables", according to Major Nelson.
"There are no price drop plans for EMEA and Japan," he added.
Earlier this week Microsoft confirmed plans to launch an Xbox 360 'Essentials Pack' in the US this autumn. It'll bundle a wireless controller, a media remote, an HDMI cable and a three-month Xbox Live Gold membership for $79.99.
