Guild Wars 2 crowned UK number one

ArenaNet's acclaimed title becomes third-fastest selling MMO in UK history

A PC MMO has topped the UK all-format chart for the first time since 2010, with NCSoft's highly praised Guild Wars 2 dethroning Square Enix's popular Sleeping Dogs.

The last time a boxed MMO rose to the top of the all-format chart was in December 2010, with Blizzard's World of Warcraft expansion, Cataclysm.

Falling to second place is the multiplatform action title Sleeping Dogs.

Falling to second place is the multiplatform action title Sleeping Dogs, with sales down by about 40 per cent following a successful two weeks atop the chart.

The body of the chart is relatively unchanged. THQ's action title Darksiders 2 fell from second place to sixth, and Activision's Transformers Fall of Cybertron tricking down to eighth.
