Ratchet: Gladiator will be the next game to get the HD treatment on PS3, Insomniac Games announced at PAX.
Known as Ratchet: Deadlocked in North America and Ratchet & Clank 4 in Japan, the 2005 PS2 classic sees the Lombax and his robot sidekick trapped in Dreadzone, a game show in which contestants are forced to battle to the death.
In our Ratchet: Gladiator review we said the game offered "all-out action, and non-stop fun-having in the extreme".
"Gladiator is a great game even though there's little else to do than run around and blast things that get exponentially huge from planet to planet, but it's blasting in such a smooth, quality style your brain has no time to get bored of it. Quality shooting."
The high-definition re-release is expected to hit the PlayStation Network later this year.
In July Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault was announced. The new game introduces a "tower defence twist" to the action-platformer.
