Sega renews Skies of Arcadia trademark

Is a high-definition version on the way?

Sega has renewed its trademark for Skies of Arcadia, once again raising hopes that an HD re-release may be in the works.

The renewal, which was spotted by NeoGAF users, states the application was approved in July 2012.

Sega associate brand manager Ben Harborne said in March that Shenmue HD and Skies of Arcadia HD were two of the publisher's most requested re-releases.

"They're a couple of our most requested games. I can't say 'yes' or 'no', but we may be working on them," he teased.

Sega has a number of HD remakes scheduled for release over the next few month, including Jet Set Radio, Nights into Dreams and Sonic Adventure 2. Yesterday it released a trailer showcasing the three games.
