Supposed iPhone 5 video shows a bigger, faster handset

Unit allegedly smuggled out of a production plant

A video comparing what's thought to be a hot-off-the-production-line iPhone 5 with an iPhone 4S has appeared online.

The phone was supposedly discovered by a "friend" of a Foxconn plant employee, but as always, we'd take this with a pinch of salt.

The most noticeable difference between iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S is the new model's larger display and taller frame to accommodate it.

A smaller cable port, alternative camera placement, deeper home button and a speedier start-up time also distinguish it from last year's model.

Apple has sent out press invites to an event on September 12, where the company's expected to officially reveal iPhone 5 .
