Epic forms Seattle studio for Unreal Engine 4 development

Kicks off recruitment drive for work on its 'latest technological projects'

Gears of War and Unreal Engine developer Epic Games has established a new studio in Seattle tasked with development on Unreal Engine 4.

The new studio, says Epic, "will be initially focused on engineering efforts for its award-winning Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) technology".

The firm is now recruiting developers "to work on its latest technological projects" in collaboration with its engineering group, with current listings ranging from animation and audio to online and tools programmers.

Epic impressed with its debut UE4 tech demos shown publicly for the first time at E3 in June.

Multiplayer survival game Fortnite will be the first title powered by UE4.
