BLOG: Silent Hill composer shreds guitar in hour-long rock concert

Akira Yamaoka is most famous for composing the chilling soundtracks for numerous Silent Hill games. Following his departure from Konami he joined Goichi Suda and Shinji Mikami at Grasshopper Manufacture.

Yamaoka is also pretty handy with a guitar, as you'll see in the video below. The famed video game composer's latest project, The Silent Hill Band, recently played its first live show in the US.

Joining Yamaoka is Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, who provided the vocals for every Silent Hill game since the third and the Hollywood movie adaptation. McGlynn also voiced Mary Shepherd-Sunderland and Maria in Silent Hill 2.
