An iPhone 5 release date of September 21 is looking increasingly likely.
Apple is widely expected to show off its new smartphone at an iPhone 5 reveal event this Wednesday, September 12.
A Geeky Gadgets source (described as "someone close to a major UK mobile carrier") has claimed Apple's next gen smartphone will launch in stores throughout the UK on September 21, with iPhone 5 pre-orders starting on September 14.
And according to our colleagues at TechRadar, an internal FedEx memo has revealed that the courier company is expecting what's described as a "surge volume" that will take place from September 21-24. The email reportedly informs staff that training classes previously scheduled to take place during the period have been postponed to November.
The site also reports that mobile network operators Verizon and AT&T recently barred employees from taking holidays during the week in question.
