Andriasang, the news website which provided the western world with a closer insight into the Japan games industry, is to close down.
Updates to the English-language website, which regularly pulled content from Japan games magazine Famitsu, will cease effective immediately.
The website's founder, Anoop Gantayat, said he was moving on to a new venture. It was not revealed what his new project will entail.
"I've decided to take up a new opportunity that will hopefully keep me really busy, so I will be ceasing daily updates," he said.
"I may do some database-driven stuff and technology tests," he explained, "but I won't be doing articles or updates. The site's archive and comments will remain in place, so you can still consult old content."
Andriasang launched in 2008 and is filled with more than 14,000 articles.
