Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon returns to the 3DS

Nintendo isn't only making announcements about the Wii U

Nintendo has announced that the popular Pokemon spin off series, Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon, is coming to the the 3DS.

Revealed in the Japanese CoroCoro magazine, Nintendo confirmed a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon title would be receiving the 3D treatment.

According to IGN the Japanese title roughly translates to "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth."

CoroCoro Magazine showed off images of the game that featured Unova region Pokemon with allegedly Snivy, Oshawott, Tepig, Pikachu or Axew as the choices for the starter Pokemon.

The 'Magnagate' within the title seems to refer to an in-game portal that transports your Pokemon to dungeons, and you can create your own portals by scanning real-world things with the AR feature. We'll have to wait for more details before it is made clear what we would be scanning.

Apart from the title, no other details have been revealed, and we'll have to wait and see if it gets a Western release.
