GaymerCon is the first ever gaming and tech convention that focuses on LGBT culture, and it has just received support from gaming giant EA.
The GaymerCon website says its purpose is to educate and inform "the gaming community of the presence of sexuality in our digital lives and promoting acceptance and social change through gaming."
EA has offered its support to the cause with Ginger Maseda, Global Diversity and Inclusion for EA stating, "EA believes that to be truly innovative, you must be inclusive. We are proud to be a part of this event."
The Xbox Live team and Penny Arcade have also offered their support for GaymerCon, which takes place in August next year in San Francisco.
