FIFA 13 is off to a mighty start, according to EA, which claims the game sold around 353,000 copies on PS3 and Xbox 360 in US on launch day.
According to EA's 'internal figures', that's a 42 per cent increase year-over-year on its predecessor. It also says that US players clashed in 1.4 million online games in the first 24 hours - 35 per cent more than last year's game.
The game made waves on Apple's iOS platform too, logging the "biggest global launch-day performance of any iOS game on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in EA history", hitting No. 1 in Top Paid Games lists in 55 countries and No. 1 in Top Grossing Games in 24 countries on the App Store, says EA citing AppAnnie.com figures.
As anticipation heats up for the game's UK release tomorrow, Tesco has announced midnight launch events for FIFA 13 at six of its biggest stores this Thursday 27th/Friday 28th September.
And if you missed it, our FIFA 13 review was full of praise for this year's tremendous update. Have a look.
