Ubisoft UK spending £4 million on Assassin's Creed 3 marketing

Sequel to receive 'biggest marketing push ever' from publisher

Based on the strength of the IP and the success of previous entries, Assassin's Creed 3 stands a good chance of being one of the most successful games of 2012. Ubisoft UK isn't planning on coasting on past successes however, and is reportedly spending £4 on marketing the sequel.

According to MCV, Assassin's Creed 3 has the most expensive Ubisoft marketing campaign ever, with a three month campaign rivaling big-hitters such as EA's FIFA and Activision's Call of Duty.

Along with presence at the Eurogamer Expo this weekend, Assassin's Creed 3 will have TV and on-demand adverts, online takeovers and a presence on the London Underground.

"Assassin's Creed III is the culmination of three years' hard work from a team which is at the top of its game," said senior brand manager, Matt Benson. "Our spend is in excess of £4m across marketing and trade activity, which is the largest amount we have ever committed for an Assassin's Creed campaign."

Ubisoft recently confirmed it will be releasing an Assassin's Creed 2 trilogy pack containing all three games featuring Ezio.
