Nintendo has signalled that the upcoming Super Mario Bros U game may not be displayed in native 1080p as originally advertised.
Yesterday it appeared that Mario would be making his first bold leap into high definition with the Wii U launch title. A message on the game's official website stated: "Experience Mario like never before... in full 1080p HD, only on the Wii U console!"
That claim has since been removed and replaced with: "Experience Mario like never before... in high definition, only on the Wii U console!"
CVG has contacted Nintendo for clarification.
Nintendo has confirmed a Wii U release date of November 18 in the US, and a Wii U release date of November 30 in Europe. The company has set the US Wii U price at $299 for the basic model, while the UK Wii U price starts at £230.
