Dragon Age 3 Inquisition: New details, first concept art

Game to feature deep customisation elements and giant levels

BioWare has provided a few new details about Dragon Age 3 and released the first concept art for the game.

Dragon Age 3 will feature character customisation "in a big way", including "follower customisation", the studio said during a panel at the Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo, as reported by Kotaku.

It will boast much larger levels than previous series entries, with cinematic designer Jon Perry saying that "one level in Dragon Age 3 is as big as all of the levels in Dragon Age 2". BioWare also said you'll be able to take control of your own castle.

Revealed last month and set for release in late 2013, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition has been in development at BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Montreal for the past two years.

According to the official announcement, the game will combine "the storytelling legacy BioWare is known for, with deep RPG gameplay, all on a brand new RPG game engine underpinned by EA's critically-acclaimed Frostbite 2 technology".
