Australian game developers will soon be offered financial incentives from the Federal Government, according to the cheif executive of the Game Developers' Association of Australia.
The news of Federal Government support for Australia game developers comes straight from Game Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) event, which is currently under way in Melbourne until Wednesday.
Exact details of the Federal Government incentives are scarce at the moment, as MCV Pacific reports, but more detail is expected to surface in the coming weeks.
Antony Reed, the CEO of the Game Developers' Association of Australia, has said a funding programme allocated via trade body Film Victoria has been reinstated after it was cancelled in May. The budget however, is believed to have taken a considerable cut.
