GJA: Best DLC Award goes to Portal 2

Valve puzzler receives most votes for map editor

Portal 2's Perpetual Testing Initiative add-on has been voted Best DLC at the 2012 hmv Golden Joystick Awards.

Valve's free PC and Mac DLC was voted ahead of runners-up The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Dawnguard add-on and Batman: Arkham City's 'Harley Quinn's Revenge'.

Perpetual Testing Initiative was released in May this year, adding a long-awaited map editor for the physics game which allows players to create, share and play new Portal 2 puzzles.

"The Initiative comes with a simplified puzzle maker that allows that creation of mind-bending puzzles without ever leaving the game," explains Valve. "The puzzle maker can directly publish maps to the Steam Workshop where users can browse, vote on, and select to play them. Selected puzzles will automatically be downloaded and installed inside Portal 2."

Over four million votes were cast in this year's Golden Joysticks - almost twice the previous Guinness World Record-breaking best.
