Boston's developer community has suffered yet more redundancies today as MMO developer Turbine is hit with staff cuts.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed the layoffs today in a statement released to press.
"As part of the continual review of our business operations and fluctuating market conditions, we have had to make reductions in our Turbine workforce. The group continues to remain an integral part of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment," said a Warner rep.
This is the second round of layoffs to hit Boston's development community this week, following the closure of Zynga's Boston studio on Tuesday, October 23, as part of significant cutbacks within the social games giant.
Turbine, a studio of more than 400 employees, most recently worked on Lord of the Rings Online and multiple subsequent expansions.
