EA has said that its paid Battlefield 3 Premium service has hit 2 million subscribers.
This figure has grown from the 1.3 million subscribers EA announced back in July.
Battlefield 3 Premium is an online service providing five DLC bundles along with other exclusive additions to its subscribers. The online service, which launched in May, costs a $50 one-time fee in the US and similar prices in other regions.
EA released these figures today during its Q2 FY13 financial results, during which it also announced a 40 per cent year-on-year increase in digital revenues.
"EA is performing well, once again beating street consensus in fiscal Q2," said CEO John Riccitiello. "We delivered yet another quarter of sharp digital growth, with digital revenue up 40% compared to the same period last year, reflecting our strength across multiple brands and channels."
