EA's new Gothenburg studio rebranded as Ghost

Studio thought to be contributing to the Need for Speed series

EA Gothenburg, which was formed earlier this year, has been rebranded as Ghost.

The studio has a new website and the rebranding may mean we get to find out exactly what it's working on soon.

Last month the old EA Gothenburg website said: "Would you like to work on a game in the Need for Speed franchise? We are hiring, and we are hiring a lot."

Elsewhere it added: "The studio will focus on developing a new generation of games, and the engine of choice is Frostbite 2."

Ghost is headed up by former DICE executive producer Marcus Nilsson, who previously led development on games including Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Battlefield 2142 and Shift 2: Unleashed.
