Whether DLC arrives for ZombiU or not will depend on the success of the game, according to the game's director.
Nintendo consoles aren't new to the concept of DLC, but it certainly isn't as prominent as it is on other consoles. As Nintendo enters a new era, DLC could start to become the norm.
In the latest issue of Official Nintendo Magazine UK, Ubisoft was asked whether DLC was a possibility for the survival horror title, ZombiU.
ZombiU director Bogdan Bridinel stated that the team didn't have any plans to release DLC, as everything it wanted to achieve was done in the game.
Bridinel goes on to say that "a few things that we tried during production ended up on the cutting room floor, but this was because they didn't work out as well as we had hoped, not because the schedule forced us to."
All hope isn't lost though, as Bridinel explains that if ZombiU is successful DLC "could become a possibility." With the mixed reviews ZombiU has received so far, it'll no doubt take a strong sales story to justify new content.
