Zynga's VP of business development departs; new CCO recruited

Social gaming company continues to shed top-level staff

Following a series of high-level staff departures from Zynga, including its CFO David Wehner, comes the resignation of the company's VP of business development.

According to a report by All Things D (via Polygon), Jonathan Flesher left the company on November 9. He was responsible for partnership deals with companies including Google, MSN and Yahoo.

Zynga has shed several high ranking staff this year, including CFO David Wehner, Words with Friends creators Paul and David Bettner, chief marketing and revenue officer Jeff Karp, chief creative officer Mike Verdu, and second-in-command John Schappert, among several others.

In more optimistic news, the company has promoted Tim LeTourneau to fill Verdu's shoes as chief creative officer. LeTourneau was formerly vice president of games for Zynga.
