We all love a bargain. Thing is, it's hard to tell from a game's box whether you're buying a pup or a prime cut: the fifty quid you're handing over could get you hours of imaginative entertainment, or it could be burnt out inside five hours. Life's too short to mess around, so follow our advice and, er, invest in one these of these ultra-long, high-value Xbox 360 games instead.
- Length: 200+ hours
- You will mostly be: wandering the beautiful lands, looting caves
If you're finishing this in under 50 hours then congratulations on your speedrun, but you're missing the point of this epic RPG. Why sprint through the world, when you can breathe it? Skyrim isn't a territory to plunder, it's another world for you to live in, rich with side-quests, hidden areas, history, politics and colourful characters. You've never played anything like it.
2. BATMAN ARKHAM CITY
- Length: 50 hours
- You will mostly be: expertly taking down gangs of goons
Who knew whipping Batarangs into balloons would be so much fun? This is just one of the many side-missions open to Bats as he puts super-crims in traction. The meaty fights are reason enough for prolonged play.
3. DEAD RISING 2
- Length: 50 hours
- You will mostly be: building extravagant weaponry
Try as you might, you'll never rid Fortune City of the undead, but that's fine - it just means more zombies to pulp. It's the customisable weapons that unleash your sadistic streak and keeps you coming back for more.
4. SKATE 3
- Length: 55 hours
- You will mostly be: discovering great new combo lines
With an infinite amount of combos to perfect in hundreds of locations there's no need to worry about repetition, and that's without playing online. The Hall of Meat mode, where you try to break as many bones as possible, is worth the entry fee alone.
5. METAL GEAR SOLID HD COLLECTION
- Length: 60 hours
- You will mostly be: playing hide-and-seek with enemies
Three MGS games for the price of one - now that's what we call a bargain. Snake's stealth adventures are packed with varied and epic gameplay that will last you weeks. Add some lengthy cutscenes (and for once, they're worth watching) and you'll double your game time.
