BioShock cosplayer becomes face of Elizabeth

Developer hires fan to bring character to life

Irrational Games has hired fan and cosplayer Anna Moleva to become the face of BioShock Infinite protagonist Elizabeth.

Recognised by her fans as Ormeli, the Moscow-based cosplayer has become known for her meticulously detailed portrayals of Commander Shepard, Poison Ivy and American McGee's Alice.

Ken Levine wrote on the Irrational blog: "We were so amazed by her dedication and her resemblance to Elizabeth that we decided to ask her if she'd like to be involved in helping bring Elizabeth to life in our box, our key art and our upcoming television ad."

Along with gracing the cover of the game and featuring prominently in its marketing, Irrational has said it his hoping Ormeli will be making special appearances at select events.

According to Moleva it took her "about a month or two" to knock up that costume. Read the full interview with her here.

Last week, Irrational revealed BioShock Infinite won't include a multiplayer component. In May, 2K delayed the BioShock Infinite release date from this October to February 26, 2013.
