Screen Australia released a document today outlining the options for the $20 million games development fund, and it is open for discussion.
The document can be downloaded from Screen Australia, where developers are encouraged to submit suggestions on how the funds should be allocated.
The paper is divided into the following six sections:
- Objectives & Context
- Funding Aims
- Enterprise Funding
- Pre-Production Funding
- Production Funding
- Existing Support
Each section asks industry specific questions, regarding the most useful ways to assign the funding.
MCV Pacific reports that Screen Australia's Ruth Harley and Minister Simon Crean have stated that they "want the fund to be broad in its capacity to both foster growth in existing companies, as well as fund small teams and individuals."
