Humble THQ Bundle raises $5.1m

Almost 900,000 customers bought the bargain PC game collection

Sales of the Humble THQ Bundle have reached their conclusion, with the bargain game collection having raised a total of $5,097,476.23 from 885,289 backers since launching on November 29.

The Humble THQ Bundle allowed customers to pay as little as $1 for Steam keys for a collection of the publisher's PC games, although the average contribution was $5.76, with buyers choosing how their purchase was divided between the Child's Play Charity, the American Red Cross, and/or THQ.

The main package of titles included Metro 2033, Darksiders, Red Faction: Armageddon and Company of Heroes (plus its two expansions Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor).

As a bonus, those who paid above the average price received a copy of Saints Row: The Third, action RPG Titan Quest, Red Faction: Armageddon's Path of War DLC and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War.

Financially troubled publisher THQ's share price ended yesterday's trading at $1.40 per share, up 29.6 per cent on its pre-bundle price, Edge reports.
